SEO starting point: Wordtracker, the way to break your traffic record!

Hi guys, hope this finds you well.

I have been working with Simona on Wordtracker.com which is a useful tool to optimise your website. Thanks to “my guru” Simona ; ) I understood how to use it so I am going to give you a brief explanation about that.

Search engine optimisation in Ireland

Basically, this website allows you to find the right keywords you need. When you get into Wordtracker what you have to do is writing the keyword you are interested in, then it will automatically give you results not only for the keyword you just have typed but also for the similar ones, furthermore, the results include the number of times that these keywords have been researched per day.

Then you have to select, among the results, those keywords which are most relevant to your activity and delete the useless ones in order to proceed to a deep analysis! From this point Wordtracker gives you the option to get access to a priceless analysis according to two main search engines: Yahoo and Google, but you could also choose whether the results depend on UK or US database! Is this not beautiful? You save a lot of time and money! “Time is money” and “Wordtracker is your money-maker”!

After selecting your keywords from the original databases (US or UK), Wordtracker provides you with an amazing, well-organized, Excel datasheet in which you can see a great analysis of your keywords, for instance the number of searches per day and the KEI which is one of the most important factor when selecting the right keyword!! I am going to quote Wordtracker.com to explain what KEI means:

The KEI compares the Count result (number of times a keyword has appeared in our data = popularity) with the number of competing web pages to pinpoint exactly which keywords are most effective for your campaign.

Competitiveness is defined as the number of sites which a search engine displays when you search for that keyword using exact match search, that is with quotes surrounding the term (the best keywords – below 1000 competing websites).

However, if a keyword becomes more popular and more competitive at the same time such that the ratio between its popularity and competitiveness remainsthe same, its KEI should increase.

Therefore:

KEI = (P^2/C), i.e. KEI is the square of the popularity of the keyword and divided by its competitiveness

Specifically a high KEI means that a keyword is highly competitive and there is a low competition on it! In my opinion this is invaluable information because this website allows you to choose the Right keywords which will attract as much visitors as possible and consequently boost your website traffic and increase your sales!

Once you have chosen the most interesting keywords from the Wordtracker Excel datasheet analysis, just pitch on a pay per click Google campaign thanks to Google Ads! From that you could, again, check what keywords will be really most relevant, the ones which will generate your costs so it will be through these ones that visitors get to your website, after that you could delete those which have not been clicked in!

Now, have you got a bigger picture of the several stages of the keyword selection? I sum up quickly again First a raw and deep research in Wordtracker and then a fiddly selection thanks to a Google analytics!

Now you are ready to optimise your website by adding these keywords to the most important part of your website structure: Title, Meta tags (a “description” of your website which will appear on Google result and a keyword meta-tag which is very important), but you could aslo put in bold these keyword on your front page! Also do not forget to do to an external SEO by submitting your articles to some article portals.

Now I am finishing the external SEO for 3R Sales and Marketing and for one of its clients – Duvets N’Bedding – Siberian Goose Down Duvets and Pillows!

Finally if you have understood all what I said, you are ready to break your website traffic record! Good luck!

I am excited about working on optimising one of 3R’s websites “Stop Selling”! I think I will start by the next week, probably on Monday!

I hope this was not so long and that it makes sense!

See you soon for more information.
