Despite all the success in the world from Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Online Advertising (PPC), if people are not contacting you or buying from your website– it’s a failure!

What’s the first page that people see when they visit your website – It had better impress them, or they’re gone – so it might be worth the effort to learn how you can get people to contact you and buy from you and increase your online leads, before you spend a single cent.

When you read this article you will;

  • Hear what makes visitors contact you or buy from your web pages.
  • See what you can do, at no cost, to increase your web sales.
  • Imagine how you will feel when your online sales start to be profitable.

So what is a great “Landing Page”?

The world’s top advertisers know precisely how to grab your attention and could you imagine how many more online sales you will get when you start doing what they do, on your website?

A great landing page (the first page your visitors see) should do the following

  • Excite your visitors or prospects
  • Clearly spell out what your offering is
  • Make it really easy for them to get hold of your offering – this is called the “call to action”

So how do people arrive on your landing page, assuming you are doing all you can do with online marketing, it could be one of the following.;

  • Finding your site through a web search on Google, MSN, Yahoo or another search engine – this is known as Search Engine Optimisation or Organic Search
  • Clicking through on an online advert, that your online advertising like Google Ads directs them to – this is known as Pay Per Click (PPC)
  • Clicking a link on a related site with appropriate or relevant content
  • An article that you wrote and submitted to an Article directory
  • Clicking on a link in a blog post that you may have made
  • Clicking on a banner advert
  • Many other ways; all of which will help promote your website to get more visitors.

Once there, you want your visitors to take action because it is clear for them to hear the value for them in what you are offering. The actions you will want them to take are as follows;

  • Order your product or service
  • Contact you for more information or an appointment
  • Take advantage of an offer like a newsletter subscription, etc

So do the pages on your website encourage your online visitors to take action that will benefit you and them?
